Name the Pet is a Stockholm based producer/songwriter/artist creating electronic pop music with playful, contemporary productions and melodies reminding you of the 90’s. She is currently working on her third album Än, to be released early 2019, as well as working as a songwriter/producer for other artists. One of her most recent accomplishments as a song writer is co-writing the song Weekend by Gabriel Gassi that just reached 375 000 streams on Spotify. She also recently produced the song Min Puls for Swedish artist Min Stora Sorg as well as the song Halcyon Days for London based artist China.
Her debut album was released through EMI in 2009 and contained collaborations with big international producers. After her debut, Name the Pet disappeared from the limelight and when she returned with the follow up album Future/Now in 2014, she showed up with an entirely new sound. By then all of the music was written, produced and released by herself. Since then Name the Pet has played a part of creating the community that is the emerging scene of female producers in Stockholm. In addition to writing/producing, she is also one of the founders of ⌘J – a Stockholm based supportive group/community for women, in one way or another, connected to the music industry.
